About H.O.O.P.S.
HOOPS (Hope & Outreach For Oncology Patient Support) is a non-profit organization founded by Coney and Ben Flowers. More than a basketball tournament, HOOPS, is a community built on resilience, connection, and hope. Our mission is to bring people together to raise awareness, funds, and spirits for cancer patients and survivors.
Coney, a Leukemia survivor, found strength both mentally and physically through the game of basketball during her recovery from a life-saving bone marrow transplant. What began as a deeply personal journey has grown into a powerful movement, using sport to heal, inspire, and give back.
Every game played and every dollar raised directly supports survivorship programs, helping individuals and families navigate life during and after cancer. At its core, HOOPS is about showing up for one another, celebrating strength, and turning adversity into impact. Proving that even in the hardest moments, community can carry us forward.
